Dennis L. O’Connor, 76, of Clear Lake Shores, Texas passed away peacefully while at home on October 25, 2017.

Denny, is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Rebekah (Butler) O’Connor. He is predeceased by his father Dennis O’Connor, mother Margret (Donovan) O’Connor Walls and his step father Magorisk Walls, and one sister Mary Johnson.

He is survived by his three children, Dennis O’Connor of Worcester, MA and his wife Mary and their 4 kids, Margaret, Terrence, Claire and Emma. Clifton B. O’Connor of Katy, Texas and his wife Laura and their 3 kids Christopher, Alayna , and Lindsey. Amy Nelle Larkin of North Richland Hills, Texas and her husband Tom and their 3 kids Zachary, Connor and Megan. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Gibbons of Laconia, New Hampshire as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Denny grew up in Rockland, Ma where he graduated from Rockland High School and also graduated from Boston College.

After college he served in the United States Air Force as an Officer. While stationed At Barksdale Air Force base, he met his wife Rebekah (Butler) O’Connor. After his military service, he spent his career as an employee for Deloitte. He became a Partner for Deloitte and lived in Boston, Houston, Dallas and Charlotte.

He enjoyed his retirement of reading, gardening and especially loved spending time with his grand kids out in the boat fishing and towing the kids on the tube.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573 with Father Howard Drabek presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Funeral Arrangements will be arranged by Crowder Funeral Home in League City, Texas.

  3. I worked with Denny during my days with DH&S in Houston and Dallas. I remember his distinctive accent, unfailing good humor, infectious smile, and keen wit. My heart-felt condolences go out to Rebekah and family members. With sadness.
