Bertha Alicia Yanas, of Santa Fe, TX, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. She was born on August 9, 1956, in El Salvador to Olimpia Rodriguez. Bertha was a resident of Santa Fe for over 35 years.

Bertha is preceded in passing by her mother, Olimpia Rodriguez, and father, Brijido Escolero.

She is survived by her husband of over 35 years, Simon Yanas, Jr.; her daughter, Amanda Yanas; her son, Simon Yanas III; her sisters, Amelida Ramirez (Margarito) and Iliana Santamaria (Luis); her brother, Dimas Alejandro Rodriguez (Enis); and her grandson, Jaxon Yanas. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A service celebrating Bertha’s life will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 4:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2700 Lehi Lane, Alvin, TX 77511.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 PM.
