Debbie Ann Kralovetz Cruse
Debbie Ann Kralovetz Cruse, 63 of Santa Fe passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1963 to Richard and Sandra Kralovetz in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was a resident of Santa Fe for over 20 years, formerly of Phoenix. Debbie worked as a Secretary for Midwest Steel Co. Inc. & alongside her husband Lonnie as a devoted professional well known horse trainer.
Debbie was deeply loved by everyone who had the privilege to knowing her and by all those whose lives she touched. Debbie’s kindness, generosity, and gentleness touched the lives of every person and animal. She will live on in our hearts and her legacy will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Sandra Kralovetz. Debbie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lonnie Cruse, daughter Carissa Dawn Montes and husband Ricardo, son Colton Cruse and wife Sarah and their son Carson Cruse, sister Tammy Horton and husband Keith and brother Rodger Kralovetz and wife Michelle.
A visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 9:00am-10:00am, with the service to follow at 10:00am at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with Pastor Wes Owens officiating.

So very sorry for your loss my deepest condolences to Lonnie, Colton and Carissa. She is now in the arms of Sandy and Richard and talking horses. She was deeply loved.
Debbie was a loving, faithful woman who loved her horses and family intensely! I was always so impressed with her training and riding skills. She had a real gift! I am so sorry that she has passed way too soon. She was a fighter for sure and although quiet she was very strong. My prayers are for Lonnie, her children and the entire family!
Debbie was a good friend and neighbor in Arizona prior to moving to Texas. She was also a great horsewoman along with her loving husband Lonnie! She will be greatly missed by all that knew her!!
Debbie was a a kind and gentle soul. In the short time I spent with Debbie, she never failed to make me feel warm and welcome. Her kindness and generosity is how I will remember her, and I consider myself lucky to have met her. She cared about animals and youth and I’m happy to make a donation in her honor <3
As a co-worker at Midwest Steel Company, I was very fortunate to be able to work with Debbie for many years. Debbie was always helpful and you knew she had a kind heart. May God grant Lonnie and family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Debbie was a wonderful friend and coworker whose warmth, kindness, and willingness to help others were simply part of who she was. She always seemed to have a friendly smile and was someone you knew you could count on.
Our family will always remember the kindness Debbie showed our children as they were growing up, especially the joy she gave them by letting them ride her horses. Those experiences became treasured childhood memories, and they speak so beautifully to Debbie’s generous spirit and her love of sharing something that meant so much to her.
Above all, Debbie was deeply devoted to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and daughter, and the love she had for those closest to her was evident throughout her life.
We will also remember Debbie for the remarkable courage and strength she showed as she faced the ravages of the disease that ultimately took her life. Even through an extraordinarily difficult journey, her courage was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her.
Debbie’s passing leaves an emptiness that will be felt by so many. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, her coworkers, and the equestrian community that was such an important part of her life.
We pray that Debbie is now at peace and reunited with Richard and Sandy in paradise, free from suffering and surrounded once again by love.
May her family find comfort in knowing how many lives Debbie touched, how fondly she will be remembered, and how deeply she was loved. Her kindness and generous spirit will remain with all of us who were fortunate enough to know her.
