Patricia Ann Morgan

Surrounded by family singing hymns in honor of her life on Earth, Patricia Ann Morgan, went into the healing arms of Jesus on March 19, 2025. Pat was born on May 29, 1938, in Dallas, Texas and lived much of her adult life in Plano. Graduating from the University of Texas in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and her Master of Science in 1981. She was a devoted schoolteacher in both public and Christian schools.  Pat taught in the Dallas area for many years, and after moving to Friendswood to be nearer to her family in 1993, she continued teaching. She attended church and taught Sunday school at Baybrook Baptist Church for many years, and at Baybrook’s “Little Wonders Preschool”. Teaching was one of the greatest joys of her life.

Pat’s positive influence and faith constantly brought joy to her family, friends, and everyone she encountered, even in the last days of her life. We find it hard to put into words the privilege it was to be with our “Mama”, “Mama Pat”, and “Grandmommy”.  She made us feel cherished and loved, and we treasured time spent with her. She was gentle, kind, patient, and genuine, with her soft touch, gentle voice, infectious laugh, and beautiful smile. She called her smile “her testimony”, saying she wanted people to see Jesus when they saw her. Pat endeavored to uplift and encourage everyone she met. Her silvery hair and petite stature contrasted her strength of spirit, unhindered laugh, and her feisty Scotch-Irish nature. She was a kind but strong force. A true matriarch and Godly woman. She was never too busy to spend time with her family, to have a cup of coffee together. She was always on the other end of the phone, and always loved gathering together for holidays, including every Christmas night at her house.

Over the years, many have remarked how peaceful her house always felt. Her unshakable faith was an inspiration, and she always encouraged us to spend time every day in the Word and in prayer. Her own Bible is falling apart and nearly every page is riddled with her “teacher handwriting”. She eagerly sought and invited the presence of the Lord. She taught us what she had learned of forgiveness, gratitude and submission to the Lord. She often spoke of looking forward to being at the feet of Jesus in Heaven – just to behold Him. We miss her dearly, but we are joyful in knowing that she is free from pain and worshiping in the presence of the King. May you sing with the angels. May you dance freely. May you frolic in heavenly gardens that have bloomed just for you. Our beautiful soul. Til we “all fly away” and meet you again…

Pat was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren and was never happier than when they were all in the same room. She is survived by her three children, sons in law, daughter in law, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren:

  • Vickie & Brett Bouldin
  • Shelby Bouldin, Haleigh & Mike Van Kirk, and Micah Bouldin
  • Sandie & Mark Pustejovsky
