Sandra “Sandy” Lee Storey, 82, of Galveston, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on July 22, 2026, in Alvin, Texas.

Born on April 7, 1944, in Stamford, Texas, to William Bradford Teague and Lena Margaret Stanfield Teague, Sandy lived a life defined by unwavering love, strength, and fierce devotion to her family. She was known for her stubborn spirit, quick wit, sharp tongue, and the kind of unconditional love that made everyone around her feel safe. Whether she was watching a classic movie, sharing her love of Native American culture, listening to classic country music, or sitting on the porch in Galveston with an iced tea in her hand, Sandy found joy in life’s simple moments.

Sandy dedicated many years of service to others throughout her career. She was a longtime volunteer with the Safety Communications Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a proud breast cancer survivor, and retired from the Boy Scouts of America after also working as an executive secretary in the maritime industry at Manchester Terminal and later at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Above all else, Sandy’s greatest joy was her family. She was the steady heart of four generations, always ready with a good laugh, honest advice, or unconditional love. No matter the circumstance, she never stopped believing in the people she loved and never let them wonder if they had a place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Donald Keith Storey; and her sister, Billie Margaret Teague.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra Storey of Galveston, Texas, and Katherine Ann Storey-Parasich and her husband, John Parasich, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandsons, Glenn Kelly and Eric Kelly, both of Alvin, Texas; her granddaughter, Kourtney Storey of Katy, Texas; her treasured great-grandson, Keller Storey; many cherished nieces and nephews; extended family members; and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her, her spirit is free, her heart is whole once again, and she is forever surrounded by love.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Crowder Funeral Home Chapel in Dickinson, Texas, with a funeral service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service.

The family welcomes all who knew and loved Sandy to join them in celebrating a life beautifully lived. Her greatest legacy was the family she loved without condition and the countless lives she touched with her unwavering love.
