Dolores M. Quiroz

In Loving Memory of Dolores M. Quiroz

Dolores M. Quiroz, 89, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Harlingen, Texas, Dolores lived a life rooted in faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roel M. Quiroz, Sr.

Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, strength, generosity, steadfast faith, beautiful smile, and wonderful sense of humor. She had a giving heart and touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

For 30 years, Dolores proudly served in the Friendswood ISD Food Services Department. She believed no child should ever go hungry and quietly helped students in need whenever she could.

She found joy in dancing, reading, crafting, and singing. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends. Her love, compassion, and gentle spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Dolores is lovingly survived by her son, Roel M. Quiroz, Jr.; her daughters, Clarissa Des Lauriers (Ron) and Priscilla Benes (John); as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A Mass celebrating Dolores’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas, in the Veterans Memorial section. The family kindly invites guests to wear bright, vibrant colors in celebration of Dolores’s joyful spirit and the beautiful life she lived.

  1. I will never forget Dolores! The mom of one of my dearest friends, Priscilla. I never saw her without a smile on her face and she always had a hug for me. She lived a life full of love for her family. She will be missed but the memories always treasured. She is reunited with her beloved husband and I hope they never stop dancing.

  2. I will always remember Mrs. Dolores as one of the most loving and caring people I have ever met in my life. I was blessed to work with her at Bales Intermediate, where she not only made sure that all kids ate lunch, but she often cooked special lunches at her house and brought them for her staff friends to enjoy. Mrs. Dolores was a wonderful cook! Not to mention that she loved to dance! She had a way of making everyone around her feel like they were the most important thing to her. She was a gift to all who knew her. My condolences to her family.
