Dolores M. Quiroz, 89, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Harlingen, Texas, Dolores lived a life rooted in faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roel M. Quiroz, Sr.
Dolores will be remembered for her kindness, strength, generosity, steadfast faith, beautiful smile, and wonderful sense of humor. She had a giving heart and touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
For 30 years, Dolores proudly served in the Friendswood ISD Food Services Department. She believed no child should ever go hungry and quietly helped students in need whenever she could.
She found joy in dancing, reading, crafting, and singing. Above all, she treasured every moment spent with her family and friends. Her love, compassion, and gentle spirit enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Dolores is lovingly survived by her son, Roel M. Quiroz, Jr.; her daughters, Clarissa Des Lauriers (Ron) and Priscilla Benes (John); as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A Mass celebrating Dolores’s life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas, in the Veterans Memorial section.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Friendswood ISD Student Lunch Fund in Dolores’s memory.
