Victoria “Vicky” Garcia

Victoria “Vicky” Garcia, 56, of Alvin, TX formerly of Dickinson, TX passed away Friday, July 8, 2022.  She was born in Texas City, TX to Jim and Margarita Garcia on February 8, 1966.

Vicky attended Dickinson High School, where she obtained her certificate of completion.  While in school she enjoyed many actives such as dancing, bowling and participating in Special Olympics.

Vicky’s favorite pass time was listening to music while enjoying her Diet Coke.  She loved starting her day with a good cup of coffee along with a donut.  Vicky was a girlie girl.  She always had her nails done, wearing her favorite headband along with her favorite jewelry.  She learned to put puzzles together along with coloring and painting.  She also learned to love sports to which she cheered for the Houston Astros and Pittsburg Steelers.

Vicky attended Cristo Para Todos in Alvin, TX.  Where she enjoyed singing and playing her tambourine. Her congregation loved her.  She had a joyful spirit.  Her smile was contagious and she loved you unconditionally.

Vicky received special care from her niece and good friend, Letty Galvan.  To which her family is so thankful for the many blessings we shared along with Vicky.

Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Margarita Garcia; brothers Jacob Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Rudy “Fred” Garcia and brother-in-law Julio Galvan.

She is survived by her sisters: Tomasa Galvan, Juanita Martinez, Guadalupe “Lupe” and husband Pete Hernandez, Micky Garcia, Margaret Cantu, and Frances Prado; brothers: Jim Garcia, Jr., Esteban Garcia and wife Billie Garcia, and Jose Garcia.  Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8p.m. Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland. A burial will be on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery in Houston.

  2. My prayers are with you all at this time of grief. I remember Vicky, when my sister Patty Brown and her were in school together. Vicky was a very loving person and yes remembering her smile was contagious. My families prayers are with you all at this time.
