Richard George Lewis

Richard George Lewis, born March 13th 1955, born to Anne and Howard Lewis in Rockville Centre, NY, passed away peacefully August 9th, 2016, surrounded by his family. Rich married Patty on September 27th, 1980 in Clearfield, Penn. They went on to have three wonderful children Drew, Adam, and Megan. Rich worked for Schlumberger for 34 years, a career that moved the family around the world and allowed for their lives to be filled with unforgettable experiences and friends. He also worked for Weatherford; and, after retiring for a second time, he enjoyed sailing, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Rich leaves behind his soulmate Patty; his children, Drew, Adam (Sarah), and Megan; his sisters Trish (Tom) and Barbara (Joe) and his brother Andy (Mary); and many of his loving nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 12th at St Mary’s Catholic Church located at 1612 East Walker St, League City from 3PM . A celebration of Rich’s life will be held on Saturday, August 13th at The Sundance Grille located at 800 Mariners Drive in Kemah, Texas from 1-4PM. Rich was clear he would like people to wear color as we celebrate his life. The reception on Saturday is more casual so come as want.

  3. Patty, I remember you coming by my office at Schlumberger with Rich getting ready to go overseas. The positive energy you guys shared was unforgettable. I’m very saddened to hear about Rich, it brings a smile to my face to think of seeing Rich walking down the hall with his special swag. Prayers for peace and comfort to you and your beautiful family.
