Donald Daniel Cole
Donald Daniel Cole of Texas City was born January 20, 1949 to Donald W. and Ellen J. Cole in Victoria, Texas. Donald passed peacefully to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus on September 29, 2026 with his loving wife Karen by his side.
Donald was a 1966 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a 1971 graduate of Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business. After graduating, he began his “Oil Movement” career with Texas City Refinery which later would become Valero. He retired after 38 years of service.
Donald was a faithful active member of Northside Baptist Church, where he served as Treasurer and lifelong Deacon.
Donald is predeceased in death by his parents, his son, William R. Cole, and faithful fur baby companion “lil” William. He is survived by his loving wife Karen Cole of 47 years, his sister, Mary Cole Beedy and husband Don of Kerrville, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws.
Karen would like to thank the staff and workers at Enhabit Hospice and Amada for their special care and attention they gave to her husband.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026 at James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque from 6:00 to 7:30. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Northside Baptist Church in Texas City (2801 N Logan St, Texas City, TX 77590) with Pastor Kevin Wiltshire officiating.
Donald will be buried next to his son at Galveston Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
