With heavy hearts we announce the passing of John Paul Block on September 21, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born on July 8, 1963, in Mission, Texas to Harold and Naomi Block. John was a resident of Pearland for 22 years. He lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and deep devotion to his family.

After being diagnosed with stage four liver cancer, John fought with unwavering courage and grace. John spent 35 years in the food service industry, 30 of those years with Lott Marketing/Acosta. John was known for his work ethic, kindness, and commitment to others.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Naomi Block.

John was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carrie Block; his daughter, Ashlynn Milburn; his son, Austin Milburn (Madison); his brother, Dan Block (Rosann); and niece, Sara Coutier (Lance).

John touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of meeting him. His warmth, generosity, and jovial spirit will be remembered forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of John at the National Cancer Society.

Services to honor John’s life will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St., Pearland, TX 77581. Pastor Jerry Garner to officiate.
