Bobby Lee Knezek

Bobby Lee Knezek, 61, of League City, was reunited with his departed mother on Monday evening, March 3rd, 2025 in his sleep.

A native Texan, he was born in Odessa and was the son of the late Henry Charles Knezek and the late Ruthaleen “Polly” Tanner. He is survived by his daughter, Robin DeeAnn Knezek, who was his entire world.

He worked for most of his life as an artist and an art teacher. A graduate of Odessa High School with the class of 1982, he was a lover of estate sales, dragons, and tinkering with his latest estate sale “find”. He was quick-witted, funny, and had an enormous heart.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by his older sister, Nancy Knezek and her daughter, Cassandra Daniels, as well as by his older brother, Darren Knezek. He is also survived by his great-niece and -nephew, Dravin & Arwyn, as well as his step-children Meagan (Anthony) Tran and her children Neo and Kai; Devin Ebert and his daughter Devyn, and Chase Hinson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing and memorial services at the Crowder Funeral Home at 1645 E Main St, League City, on Friday, March 14th from 3-5pm and memorial from 5-7pm.

  1. I am deeply saddened to hear of Bobby Knezek’s passing. As a colleague at Manvel Junior High, I had the privilege of sharing in his passion for the visual arts, and though I regret not knowing him as well as I should have, his presence left a lasting impression on me and so many others. His absence leaves a profound void in our school community, one that will not easily be filled.

Bobby’s love for art was something I admired greatly, and I will always cherish the conversations we shared about creativity and expression. As someone who has spent time working in visual design at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music and curating my own art collection, I deeply appreciated his insight, his enthusiasm, and his talent. His passion inspired those around him, and his contributions to our community will be dearly missed.

Please know that my family’s prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We ask that the Lord provide strength, comfort, and healing as you navigate this tremendous loss. May you find peace in the many lives Bobby touched and in the memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

    With deepest sympathy,

    David L. Long
