William Thomas Hebert

William Thomas “Tom” Hebert age 73, passed away on June 28, 2019 in Webster, TX, He was born in Champagne, Illinois on August 30, 1945 to Clyde C. Hebert and Eleanor Gwendolyn (Hebert) Sullivan. He was preceded in death by grandparent Frank Z. and Laura S. Hebert, and Thomas R. and William “Willie” F. Sullivan. Brother in law Jeffery B. Cornwell, Stepmother Sue Hebert.
He is survived by his: wife of 36 years, Catherine L. Cornwell Hebert; daughter, Monica M. Scarbrough & husband, Kent; sister, Beverly Hergert & husband Richard; brothers, Nick Hebert and Frank Hebert and wife, Narlie; grandchildren, Haley K. Hoyle & husband, Josh, Trey T. Scarbough and Tanner D. Scarbrough; great-grandchildren Brayden A. Mc Daniel; Bristol R. Hoyle & Brooklyn M. Hoyle; nieces and nephews, Allan Hebert, Aaron Hebert, Paul Hebert, Michael Hebert, Carmen Hebert, Alayne Hergert, Malinda Hergert & husband, Iain Critheon, David Hergert & wife, Chris; Jessica Hergert and Michael Clinton; great-nieces, Katie Hergert & Samantha Hergert and Anna Hergert and numerous family members and friends.
Tom served as an Army reservist for ten years, and was honorably discharged.
He earned Associates degrees of applied Science in Data Processing, and in Occupational Health and Safety Technology, from San Jacinto College. And many other professional certifications & licenses.
He worked for Bayer Corporation for 34 years as a boilermaker, then as a safety trainer. Then went to work for MD Anderson as a safety specialist /inspector, retiring after 10 years of service in 2012.
Tom was an avid reader, loved playing golf with family & friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping &traveling. But most of all liked spending time with family and playing with grand & great grand kids, nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Friday, July 5, 2019 at Crowder Funeral Home. 111 East Medical Center Blvd. Webster, TX 77598.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, July 6, 2019 at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church. 15500 El Camino Real, Houston (Clear Lake) TX 77062.
In lieu of flower those wishing to make a memorial donation in Tom’s memory may do so to Bay Area Pet Adoption, 3000 Avenue R, San Leon, TX 77539
