Vivian Lucille Morgan

Vivian Lucille Morgan passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 5, 2018. Vivian was born  July 27, 1935, in Baytown, Texas to Herman and Lucille Crosby.

Vivian attended Lee High School in Baytown, Texas where she was very active in music and journalism. She was the president of the Lee Band where she was first chair on the clarinet and a feature editor of the Gander Gazette as well as a member of the Press Club. Vivian graduated high school in 1953 and went on to Massey Business College  in Houston, Texas.

Vivian worked in various law offices around Baytown, but her dream job finally came in 1980 when she was hired by Exxon Mobil. She worked in various roles in HR and labor relations at the facility in Baytown, Texas. Vivian loved working for Exxon as well as working in the town she was raised in.

After retirement in 1995, Vivian moved with her husband Donald Morgan to Canon City, Colorado, to enjoy living in the  beautiful mountainous countryside. The draw of family and the birth of a grandson couldn’t keep Vivian away though, and in 2002 she moved back to League City, Texas to be near family and friends.

Vivian was an angel to all those she met and anyone who knew her would say she never met a stranger. She was a dedicated mother and wife who enjoyed her family and their pets. Other than family, Vivian’s main passion in life was bowling and in Baytown she was a fixture in various leagues spanning five decades.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Lucille Crosby, brother Kenneth Crosby, sister Myrna Goodall, and daughter Marcia Morgan Brown. Vivian leaves behind her husband of 62 years Donald Morgan, son Scott Morgan and wife Renee Morgan, grandson Erik Morgan, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

“If love could’ve saved you, you would have lived forever.” Until we meet again Pelly Girl.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas  77573.
