In Loving Memory of Earl Ashley Simmons

November 8, 1963 – August 21, 2026

Earl Ashley Simmons was born on November 8, 1963, to Elbert and Sylvia Simmons in Warren, Ohio. He later lived in the Dallas, Texas area, moved to Southaven, Mississippi, in 2012, and made his home in Houston, Texas, in 2025.

Earl made his living as a Master Painter and Home Remodeler and was also skilled in woodworking and carpentry. He was hardworking and loved teaching others his trade. Earl gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in Mississippi in 2024. He attended Awakening Nations Church in Houston, Texas, when his health permitted.

Earl Ashley Simmons went to be with the Lord on August 21, 2026. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Elbert and Sylvia Simmons; his Step-Son, Mark Nick; his Brothers, Dale and David Simmons; his Sister-in-Law, Sharon; and his Brother-in-Law, Earl Dean.

He will be fondly remembered by Tammy, the love of his life for over 20 years, who became his Wife in 2023; his Step-Son, John (Pamela); Daughter-in-Law, Amy (Nick); his special Nephew, Mitchell (Elizabeth), who was like a Son to him; Brother, Paul; Sister, Bessie; Grandchildren, Brandon, Alexandria, Christopher, Jonathan, Faithe, Gracie, Madison, Jessica, and Jewel; Great-Grandson, Novah; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. He will be especially remembered by the young people he took under his wing in Mississippi.

Earl’s life was full of laughter and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and the love he gave will continue to live on through his Family and Friends.
