Sarah Ann Alley, 78, went home to be with the Lord on August 21, 2026. She was born on January 21, 1948, to Pete Smith and Fay Smith.
Sarah was a woman of deep and abiding faith who loved Jesus and faithfully served Him throughout her life. She was active in her church and had a special heart for children’s ministry, where she lovingly shared the message of Jesus and His love with children. Her faith was more than something she spoke about—it was reflected in the way she lived, served, worked, and loved others.
Sarah was also a hardworking and determined woman who owned and operated her own cleaning business. Through her work, her church, and her ministry, she formed lasting relationships and touched the lives of many people.
Above all, Sarah loved her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Alley; her children, Tammy Bonner and husband Larry, Toni Harrison, Tracy Milina and husband Mark, Richard W Alley JR, Leslie Alley, and Phillip Alley.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kindle Durant and husband Jake, Emma, Sarah and fiancé William Clements, Aaron, and Jonathan; and her great-grandson, Porter.
Sarah is further survived by her siblings, Tim Smith, Susie Batts, Sandi Vandaveer, and Sally Frankum, as well as extended family, her church family, and many friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Sarah leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, family, service, and love. The lessons she taught, the prayers she prayed, the children she ministered to, and the love she poured into her family will continue to make an impact for generations.
In her honor, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they find peace in knowing that the faith Sarah held so dearly has now become sight. The Jesus she loved, worshiped, and served throughout her life has welcomed her home.
