I met Trae and Floyd through my wife’s best friend from high school. Trae was just a little kid, full of life and wonder. We visited his family quite a few times over the years in Texas, they came to visit us in Florida a few times, and we went on a family vacation with them, Disney and Universal. We rode 4-wheelers at Belheim, played in the pool and creek, as well as many other memories. One memory that I have in particular, was a time we were staying at their home while visiting. I was in school at the time working on computer science late at night in their dining room. Trae came downstairs quietly to get something to drink with the intention to go back to bed. I asked him what he was up to, he said, “just getting a drink”, then asked what I was doing. I showed him what I was working on and explained to him what was happening on the computer. Trae sat and watched diligently, asking question after question that I honestly didn’t have all the answers to. After a while of working and Trae hanging out, I asked him if he would like a small bowl of ice cream. His face lit up. I got us both a small bowl of ice cream, we sat and ate together, then we went off to bed for the night. Again, it’s just a memory of Trae that I had that someone might like to read.
My heart goes out to Trae and his entire family, he was such a good and sweet kid. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
There are no words to describe the pain of losing a love one, at this age it’s even harder to understand I believe, 😞 I’m so sorry for your loss and praying for comfort and peace for your family 🙏💔 God please pray for this family and bring them understanding and comfort 💔 Amen
