Shaun William Bozarth
Shaun William Bozarth, 18, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 7th, 2026. Shaun was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, on April 14th, 2008 to parents, Melissa and Bryan Bozarth.
Growing up in a variety of places, he was able to claim Oklahoma, Illinois, New York, and finally Texas, as homes. Shaun got to experience a number of different environments, and as a little kid, he loved playing in the snow outside the Chicago area. Later on, he discovered his love of animals and worked charity animal medical events, and even fostered many kittens that were in need. Shaun also found solace in video games, with favorites, Destiny, Roblox, and Minecraft. If Nick Cage was in a movie, you can bet he liked that movie. Shaun was a very intelligent person and loved researching history on his own.
Shaun is survived by: his parents, Melissa and Bryan Bozarth; his brother Christian Bozarth; and his sister Claire Bozarth.
Services are being held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.

Shaun was a great person—super smart, fun to be around, funny, and just wonderful in every way. I truly loved him like a brother. We got to do so many fun things together and visit so many beautiful places, and I’ll always be grateful for those memories. One of the things I loved most about Shaun was how much he cared about animals. He loved them so much, and the way he cared for his cat and showed him so much love was something I’ll always remember. Shaun will always have a place in my heart. I’ll never forget the memories we made, the good times we shared, or the person he was. I’ll always remember him the way I know he would want me to—with love, happiness, and all the great memories we made together.
I wasn’t as close to him as I used to be in middle school but I do remember how he was always smiling when I saw him or laughing, he was nice he wasn’t the kind of person to be mean spirited and was always sarcastic but his dry humor was so funny. Rest in peace Shaun I hope you are at peace.
Everyday I was in class with him, his presence was brightspot especially when I was struggling. I remember in March when Bella, Christian, Claire, Shaun and I went to Ikea, Meowolf, 99 Ranch, Teso, and Phonecia very fondly. I remember one time I walked into our Economics class and he was drawing of engine based off an diagram image from this laptop. I fondly remember me, Shaun, and Nestor walking to advisory which was normally their Food Science class and hear how friendly they were to eachother. I miss him.
Sorry for ur loss , didn’t get to see u guys much but always always in ur hearts!
Shaun was an amazing brother. He always knew what to say to people to make them feel better. Anytime I was feeling down, he would try his best to support me or make me feel better. He used to let me rant about the stupid things I like even if he really took no interest in them. He even watched a few series or played games I like to try and partake in my interests. He was smart, caring and kind. He was always super smart and went on tangents about history or politics. He used to get so excited when I was willing to listen to him talk about different countries, political subjects or people. When he left back in May, I would send him emails almost every night. He didn’t see them until he checked his spam folder because I was sending so many they got marked as spam. I remember when I briefly went to Lake and we were in JROTC together he was Bozarth 1 and I was Bozarth 2. I remember how whenever we were bored or I was feeling down, we would look for the stupidest possible games we could find. We would spend hours pretty much yelling and laughing about the nonsensical garbage in those games. In May when he hadn’t replied to me, I went back and played some of those awful games just to relive the memories. Even if he isn’t physically here, I know that he’ll always be here for anyone in spirit. He would never want anyone to be hurt. He knew he was loved and he loved us. I love him and miss him. Hopefully wherever or whoever he is now, he’s happy.
He was an awesome dude, i remember laughing with him and our friends during lunch, it was cool to know him for as long as I did, and may he rest in peace. I wish I got to spend more time with him and I wish his family the best.
Melissa, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Shaun was a really great kid and what an animal advocate he was. I enjoyed working beside him at our rescue projects. He was always at the top of my list. Heartfelt prayers and love for you and your family.
Shaun will be missed. So sorry, God bless you
Shaun was a great friend. Anytime he was around it was always a good time full of laughs and joking. I always enjoyed being around him I just regret not being around more often. I’m so grateful I had the chance to be his friend. I just can’t believe he’s gone. I can still remember the time we had just messing around on the bus on the way to school. I really miss him a lot and hope I get to see him in the next life.
Shaun was my Squad Leader, and he was more than just that to me. I looked up to him as a leader, but also a friend. Every time I was in his squad I could tell it would be a good day because of him. He seemed to always be supportive of others, for when I once held the banner for a parade, I swear I saw him smile for me. He was genuine at heart, and one of the best Squad Leaders I could have asked for in my Freshmen year. I hope where ever he is he’s happy, for he deserves nothing but peace and happiness.
Volunteering with Shaun at the spay/neuter and vaccine clinics was a joy. He was so kind and gentle and he almost glowed with his love for the animals. I am truly sorry for your loss, Melissa. My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

Shaun was someone I had nothing but admiration for. He was funny, he was a bright, he had the greatest intellect I had ever come across. He was understanding, he was patient, he was nothing but nurturing. Every class I had with him was better just from his presence alone. The last time I really talked with him was late July after seeing him at a family dollar, we had caught up like time was never passed us. He was the same witty clever guy I could never forget. Shaun was truly one of if not the best person I have ever been able to know, and I wish him nothing but peace.
Shaun was such a real kind soul this broke my heart to hear I would see Shawn reading the bible while taking order at work he was a kind hearted person.
