Patricia Potier Fortier

Patricia (Patti) Potier Fortier, beloved wife, mom, Cookie, sister, aunt, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 65. Patti’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and friends, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Her adventurous spirit, steadfast faith, and loving heart left an enduring impact on all who were blessed to know her.

Patti was born on July 10, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she lived until she met the love of her life, Robert. They were married on October 28, 1988, and moved to Texas where they raised their family. Patti’s smile could light up a room, and she loved being surrounded by family and friends. Patti enjoyed traveling, seeing new sights, and never shied away from an adventure.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Raoul Henry Potier and Patricia Scanio Potier, and her sisters, Charmaine Potier Heyd and Donna Leigh Potier. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert L. Fortier; her children, Jessica Eileen Maurin Thompson (Ian), Melissa Charmaine Fortier (Austin), and Sean Robert Fortier (Nicole); proud Cookie to her grandson’s Declan James Thompson, Jaxon Robert Fortier, and Nathan Sean Strider; her siblings, Ronald Henry Potier (Deniese), Toni Potier Baudier (Bruce), and Raoul Henry Potier, II (Jacqueline); her niece, Allyce Baudier Amann (George); her nephews, Blake Armand Baudier (Averell), Ronald H. Potier II, and Robert  (Bobby) Potier; her great-nephews Xander James Lemon and Asher Henry Lemon; her great-niece Betty Averell Baudier; and many adoring cousins and extended family.

Visitation for Patti will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Crowder Funeral Home, 851 FM 517 Rd W., Dickinson, TX 77539. The Liturgy will begin at 1:00 p.m.

As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in Christ’s promise of everlasting life and entrust her soul to the loving mercy of God. “Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”
