Paula MacKie OKeefe
Paula MacKie OKeefe, 86, was taken home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 28th, 2026 in Webster, Texas. She was born on August 18th, 1939 in Gallup, NM to Helen and Paul Roberts. She was later adopted by Frederick James MacKie, Jr. , whom she loved dearly.
Paula is survived by her: daughters, Marti Yvonne Amdall, Pat Harrell, Kelly OKeefe Cusack and wife Kristine, Nicole Leigh OKeefe and husband, Brad; sons, Bart L. Pace and wife, Michelle, Michael O’Keefe and wife, Nancy, Brad O’Keefe, and wife, Nicole and; grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Candis, Miles,
Cameron, Connor, Amy, Ashley, Colin, Carrie, Andrew, Carla and Liagael; great grandchildren, Chloe, Harper, Christian, Colin, Josh, Jamison, Killian, Declan, Braven, Carson, Aria, Kinsley and Katelyn and was proceeded in death by her beautiful Great-granddaughter Evelyn OKeefe; she also leaves behind numerous family and friends.
Paula worked and lived in the Houston area for most of her life. She retired from Boeing Aerospace and bought the ranch she always dream of. Spending time with her husband and her horses was her greatest joy. After the passing of her husband ,Mike, she moved to Colorado and spent 2 wonderful years, until her health brought her back to Houston.
She was fiercely loyal to everyone she loved; who included her dog, Hotshot, her Parrot, Boomer and her horses.
In her honor a memorial service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2026 @ 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas.
She will be greatly missed.

I wake up every day thanking God for receiving you into His kingdom. I will see you again, I know, but I will not be the same without you here.
My husband, Jack, and I are missing our sweet neighbor, Paula, more than words can say. She was such a “blessing” to us and so many others…truly a beautiful person inside and out. She embodied such kindness and compassion and always gave freely to help others in any way she could. She was always insistent on cooking lemon meringue pies for my husband (his favorite) as lemon was about the only thing he could really taste due to an illness he suffers from. They were a treat that he thoroughly enjoyed and always brought a smile to his face. And, she’d say “Now you eat a piece of that, too; I think you’ll really enjoy it!”.
I so miss our many great visits together. We talked about everything—Our love for Jesus & family…news, sports, our love of our precious pets, our neighbors @ goings on in our community, and problems in our world today. She was a no-nonsense person who spoke her mind with a side-dose of humor, flashing her beautiful smile along with a giggle. We both agreed on the power of prayer and always bid each other goodbye with a hug and words of love. We both knew/know that our lives here are temporary, and because of our love for and belief in Jesus Christ I look forward to seeing her again in our heavenly home. Father in heaven, I am so thankful my precious friend suffers no more and is at home in your blessed presence.—Thank you for your loving care.
May our Lord and Savior, Jesus, provide comfort to you, her family, and may all the beautiful memories you have of her be tucked away in your hearts forever.
