Patricia (Patty) Caulk Norris

Patricia (Patty) Caulk Norris, 58, of La Marque passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born February 25, 1958 in Galveston, Texas, to James Persell Caulk and Catherine Rose Caulk.

Patty graduated from Texas City High School Class of 1976 and shortly after started her career in the title insurance business, where she spent her last 30 years at Stewart Title Company as a Sr. Operations Manager.  Her appreciation for detail, along with a passion to help others, led her to accomplishments that made her so uniquely special to everyone she encountered.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Patty was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City for 58 years. She devoted her time volunteering in numerous activities at church, but her true passion was helping with the youth program, serving others as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and served on many A.C.T.S. retreat teams.  She also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her father and mother, James Persell Caulk and Catherine Rose Caulk, of Texas City; her sister Teresa Ann Pryor, of Clear Lake; and father in law, Abdon Norris, of La Marque.  She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, David J. Norris, her adoring son Austin Norris and wife, Barbara; and her precious daughter, Samantha Norris.  Patty is also survived by her mother in law, Joan Norris; her sister, Roseanna Mae and husband, James Gibson; and sister, Jeanie Caulk; sister in law, Debbie Camus and husband, Raymond; and brother in law, Dennis Norris and wife, Terri.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and many friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 1604 Ninth Ave. N., Texas City. A vigil service will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Reverend Clint Ressler, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.

Pallbearers will be Cash Caulk, Bruce Cody, Donal Clark, Travis Creech, Chris Cooper and Andrew Norris.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St Vincent de Paul Society c/o, St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City, or the St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church Youth Program.

  7. David, Austin, and Samantha,
Your wife and mother was one of the sweetest ladies I ever knew. She was always willing to help on any project, organization, team, and one on one. She always had a smile on and I never heard her say a harsh word to anyone. I truly was blessed to have had her as my roommate when she went with the Mission Outreach ministry to Guatemala. We shared some special moments. Our Mayan friends fell in love with her as so did everyone at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. She will truly be missed.
Your family is in my prayers,

  24. Dear Patty, David, Sam, and Austin and other family,

Patty was a wonderful and amazing lady. She was an amazing boss and friend, more like another mom to me. Thankfully I was able to get to know her and develop good friendships with her and the other Stewart Title Texas City ladies.

I know this is hard for you guys and I can’t imagine all of the pain you feel. I know with time it will not be as painful because you’ll remember all of the good memories. And Sam, you guys had a special relationship and you will always be able to cherish that. Stay strong! I pray for healing and peace during this time.

I will not say goodbye but see you soon. Love you Patty, always.

    Sincerely,
    Courtney Holbrook and family
