Maximiliano “Max” Rojas Garza

Maximiliano “Max” Rojas Garza, 59 of Leander Texas, passed away January 29, 2024,in Houston, Texas. He was born April 7, 1964, in Brownfield, Texas to parents, Juan Soto Garza and Elizabeth Rojas Garza. Max was a resident of Leander Texas for over 25 and was employed with the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitation Services for 25 years as a Systems Analyst. He was a member of Upwards Church in Leander, Texas. Max is preceded in death by his father, Juan Soto Garza and sister Diamantina Garza.

Max is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Carolina Garza. His children, daughters, Danielle Arnett and husband, Jacob, Adrianna Garza, and son, Carlos Garza. Max is also survived by his mother Elizabeth Rojas Garza, and sisters, Nereida Muniz and husband Gaspar, Naomi Garza and husband D.C., Imelda Garza and husband Dee, and three grandchildren, Khalil, Nefile and Malachi.  Max is also survived by his many nephews and nieces.

Max will be remembered first and foremost as a passionate lover of Jesus Christ. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Max was a double lung transplant recipient. His journey through the transplant community made him a huge advocate for organ donation and supporting other transplant patients across the nation in their journey. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his amazing sense of humor and great smile.

A celebration of Max’s life will be held at Upwards Church, located at 8754 Farm to Market Road 2243 Leander, Texas with Pastor Darrell Koop officiating.

The Garza family wishes to thank the staff of the Methodist Hospital transplant team, ICU and LTACH units and Nora’s Transplant House for their care of Max during the past year.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Nora’s Home can be sent to 8300 El Rio St. Houston, Texas 77054.
