Kevin Glen La Violette, 70, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2026. Kevin was born on October 28, 1955, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Alfred La Violette and Cleo May Swan.

Kevin made his home in Friendswood in 1985, where he remained a longtime resident for 41 years. Throughout much of his life, he worked in the construction industry as a general contractor and started his own company in 1989.

Outside of work, Kevin was passionate about drag racing and cars, especially muscle cars. A season ticket holder at Houston Raceway Park, he did not miss a Spring Nationals race from opening day in 1988 until the track closed in 2022. He was also a long-time member of Calvary Houston Church in Friendswood.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Cleo La Violette.

He leaves behind his best friend and wife of 45 years, Joni (Ridenour) La Violette, and fur baby, Stella.
