  1. Murphy family, please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss.

I am honored to have been Dan’s friend. Dan loved life more than most. He could get excited and see the potential in just about anything. All he needed was a little space to talk through any situation – and I mean any situation. Give him 15 minutes and he could talk you into conquering the world with him. That energy was contagious and was fun to be around.

Dan’s passing leaves a void that feelings and words cannot fill. I suppose that is how it is supposed to be. It is eternal proof that he mattered to us. Helen Keller wrote, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” That truth must sustain us now.

Dan, I hope that your heart, mind, and soul are at ease. I am not used to being the “talker” in our conversations. So, I hope that script-flip puts a grin on your face – because that is exactly how it want to remember you – with that mischievous, goofy grin that you always had.

Murphy family, thank you for sharing Dan with us. May the love of God heal you as the burden in your hearts abound. Jesus calls out to all who are weary and heavy-laden with the promise of rest. I pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds.

  2. I don’t believe Dan, Debbie or I ever had the pleasure of working together but the vidio I watch certainly said a great deal about the character of the Murphy’s.
May God bless their family and give them peace.

  4. Dan and I met on my very first trip out to help farm rescue. He is a very big part of why I fell in love with farm rescue. That was the only time we had the pleasure of working with each other but we kept in contact a couple times a year. This is a big shock and my thoughts are with his family. He was a great man.
