DONN FRANCIS CHARLES
Donn F. Charles, 69 years old, passed away on August 08th, 2025 at his residence in El Lago, Texas. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 09th, 1956 to the late Frank Charles and Donna Richter.
He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and step-father. Donn attended Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio and became a dedicated welder by trade for 40 years. He retired from Sulzer Turbine Services in 2020 where he was the Technical Representative. He loved boating, gardening and vacationing in Florida. He was a long term member of the Riverview Yacht Club in Toledo.
Donn is survived by his: loving wife, Kathy; two sisters, Marianne Charles, Kelly (Jeff) Goldsmith; step-daughter Amber (Travis) Bryan; niece Amy (Kurt) Knowles; nephews, Stephen Magyar and Nicholas Goldsmith. He had five step-granddaughters.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, Texas 77598.
The smile in this picture of Donn is the way I will remember him. As his across the street neighbor, we would occasionally chat as he tended to his yard, or washed his and Kathy’s cars, or watered his grass. It is so odd to look across the street and not see him outside puttering in his yard,
It was obvious to me that he loved his wife and enjoyed his life!
