Dear Family and Friends, We gather to honor and remember the life of Joseph Fernando Martin Alducin, born on February 9, 1962, in Autlán, Jalisco, Mexico. He was
the devoted husband of Blanca Delia Ramirez Sahagun for over 34 years, a loving father of six children, and a man whose life was guided by faith, kindness, and deep love for his family.
Joseph was a dedicated teacher at Goodman Elementary in Fort Bend ISD, where he inspired and believed in the children of his community and was honored as Teacher of the Year more than once. As a child he had a curious and adventurous spirit, and at just seven years old he met the girl who would become the love of his life—our mother. Driven by the dream of a better future, he moved to the United States and worked tirelessly to build a life filled with opportunity, love, and faith for his family..
Above all, Joseph was a family man. He showed his love through warm
meals, long conversations, and unwavering support. Even while facing
illness, he continued to stand strong for those he loved. He loved technology, music, reading, and in his younger years practiced martial arts. Most importantly, he lived his life devoted to God. What we will remember most is his selfless kindness. He gave his time, energy, and heart freely to others.
Dad, thank you for your love and sacrifices. We take comfort in knowing that in his final moments he left this world with a smile on his face, and we believe he is now at peace with our Lord and reunited in heaven with our little sister, Blanquita.
Love you forever…

Fernando was my coworker for over 10 years. For four years, we taught third grade together. He was the kindest, calmest, most helpful, and hardest-working person I know. He was very dedicated to his work and his students. He studied technology on his own and helped all of us with computer or smartboard problems. He never said no to helping someone. His family was in Mexico, and he constantly talked about them and how much he missed them. He carried a picture of his five children in his wallet. He told me he didn’t know if he could support them financially in the United States and traveled to visit them whenever he could. He would come back very sad to leave them; his youngest son was five years old at the time. I told him every day that it wasn’t worth the sacrifice of being away from them, that he should bring them over, that God would help him make it work for them. He finally brought them over and was very nervous about not being able to give them everything he wanted, but he was happy to be together as a family. He never complained about the difficult working conditions, nor about the way some administrators treated the teachers the way we did. He only focused on doing his job to the best of his ability.
I always admired his tenacity, hard work, kindness, and desire to help others, as well as his deep faith in God that would help them succeed.
I want to extend my deepest condolences to the Alducin family during this difficult time. Mr. Alducin was such an incredible teacher, one who truly left a lasting, positive impact on my life. His kindness, patience, and belief in his students made him stand out in a way that few educators do.
He wasn’t only my teacher; he also taught my older sister, my younger sister, and many of my cousins. His influence reached across generations in our family, and we are all better because of the guidance, encouragement, and inspiration he shared with us. He had a gift for making every student feel seen, valued, and capable, and that is something we will never forget.
