  5. Growing up I always felt like you were family, blood does not always determine family. I came to Texas when I was just 18 years old and you showed this country girl what the big city life was all about. We had so much fun while I was there. You were one of my biggest supporters during my first pregnancy and that little boy sure does miss his aunt Carolyn now. You were so beautiful, loving and so intelligent. I always knew who to call when I needed advice. I can’t believe you are gone. I am so thankful I got to see you just a few short months ago. We will keep Steve safe, loved and well taken care of. I’m so glad you had so many wonderful friends. I’ll see you again. Love you, always.

  13. Shocked is an understatement. Carolyn was such a sweetheart. Our only regret is not getting together as we often talked about. We know how much she loved her fur-babies and I am sure at this very moment they are reunited.
I appreciated Carolyn beyond words and the loyal support she showed me during my crazy FB posts.
Holly and I will miss our friend deeply but will also rejoice knowing that she will suffer no more.
Save a place for us, dear friend and we will all be reunited with our fur-babies someday.
    God Bless this newest Angel….!

It just doesn’t seem right. It doesn’t even seem real. I know you are at peace, though, and we’ll see you again in the end. Just please watch over all of us, and help us through this. Especially Steve. He needs you.

We love you, OtherMother! And Steve, please call us when you’re ready. We love you too!

  30. I knew her as my fun “Aunt Carolyn!” I always thought she was my Mom’s sister because they were two of a kind and they both reminded me of each other. I have great memories of being at her house and feeling spoiled by her care (she always had fancy crayons and coloring books for me). I also remember wanting a Pomeranian dog just like her too! She was fun-loving, beautiful, and I always enjoyed being around her! I’m so sorry her life was cut short. She was an amazing women and will be miss terribly by so many. Our love and prayers are with all her family and friends. A marriage of over 40 years is such a gift. Steve, you are on my heart daily!

  33. Steve,

We will certainly all miss our pal Carolyn. Words are difficult to capture and summarize the feelings you have for someone. That’s simply too difficult with someone like Carolyn. Instead, we will always remember the way she made us feel.
If there are Petoskey stones in heaven she’ll find them.

    Hugs back to you Carolyn,
