Brion Lindley Hunt

Brion Lindley Hunt was born August 6, 1959, in Fullerton, California to Robert Lindley Hunt and Maida Faye Hunt. Brion is described as a kind, giving, sweet, gentle, loving and an incredibly patient man. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, grandfather & uncle. Brion would always offer his time or lend an ear to anyone who needed anything. He would always go out of his way to help somebody in need. Brion would always help people with kindness, generosity, and a smile. Brion was a quiet man, but he also had a funny side too. He could do great impressions, tell funny jokes, or make funny faces to make other people laugh or to make them feel better. He always put others first and he never complained.

Brion spent his childhood in California, then Chicago, and then his parents eventually moved to Houston, Texas where he remained in the Friendswood area. Growing up, Brion loved spending time outdoors riding his horse or his dirt bike in the newly built subdivision. He would love to explore outdoors in the creeks and fields by his home. He often brought home whatever critter or animal he could find. Brion’s mom would find fish in the bathtub, snakes in the garage, or a goat in the house! Brion developed a love for muscle cars and could tell you anything about any car. Brion could also play many musical instruments such as a piano, organ, guitar, and harmonica. He could recite a song on any instrument after hearing the song just one time.

Brion had many jobs in his lifetime, often, it was related to cars. He was either selling cars or selling car parts. He also worked at a chemical plant for 22 years, and finally, worked at Chair King where he met his future wife, Debbie. In addition to working, Brion generously & patiently spent his evenings tutoring Debbie with her studies as she earned her college degree as an elementary school teacher. During Debbie’s time as an educator, Brion would often go up to the school on his day off and spend time with her students. He would bring them lunch or just hang out and play with them at recess. Many of these students were special needs or lived in poverty which made giving his time so much more meaningful and extra special to the students. Brion truly liked to spend time with family or near the water. These things brought him peace. And of course, Brion had a great affection for animals. He has lovingly cared for many animals over the years, especially, his true love, his dog, Dinky Doo.

Brion was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lindley Hunt and Maida Faye Hunt; Brother, Bobby Rosser; Brother-in-law, Boddy Dodd; Niece, Shawn Rosser; and Mother-in-law, Deanne Marino. Left to cherish Brion’s memories is his dedicated and loving wife Debbie Tysarczyk Hunt; his two loving children: Son, Derek Lindley Hunt & his wife Nicole along with their children Connor Hunt, Isabelle Drager & Gabby Metcalf; Daughter, Alanah Kay Hunt and her children Noah Ward and Jackson Ward. Brion’s loving Sister, Patricia “Patty” Dodd. His three sisters-in-laws that adored him immensely: Lisa Ruefle, Kristie Odom, and Kim Davila; Brother-in-laws: Rob Odom, Jerry Davila II, and Keith Mallik. Nephews: Justin Tysarczyk, Jacob Ruefle, Kevin Odom, Francisco Davila III, Nicholas Westerman and Gabe Carey; Nieces: Meagan Ruefle, Kayla Odom, Maida Rosser, Sheree Rosser, Dawn Williams and Amanda Carey. And, finally, his father-in-law Joe Tysarczyk that loved him like he was his own son.
