Becky Hartman Gregory

Becky Hartman Gregory, of Friendswood, Texas passed away peacefully on August 6, 2023 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She. was born on December 24, 1956 in Brownsville, Texas to Edward and Beatrice Hartman. She was the best Christmas present ever!

Becky was preceded in death by her parents. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Bekah Campbell, husband Jason; her son Phillip Gregory, Jr., wife Candace; two granddaughters, Jadyn Campbell and Beatrice Rose Gregory; her siblings: Ed Hartman, Mike Hartman, Jim Hartman, Lori Wrinkle, their spouses; her countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Becky graduated from Hahnville High School in Louisiana and went on to college.  She played softball for Texas A&M. Her college studies led her to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree in physical education from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s of Science in physical therapy from UTMB Galveston. She always said, “my blood runs maroon”.

Becky started her Physical Therapy career as the head of the Clear Lake Hospital PT department. In 1984, she started Advantage Physical Therapy. She loved helping people in her career and continued to serve the community for another 39 years.  She was proud of her business and the fellow therapists and professionals that have made the practice successful.

Becky loved spending time with her family and many close friends. Her children and their families were very important to her.  She loved making memories because those remembered moments last forever. She lived an amazing life.  She loved spur of the moment adventures, traveling, hunting, and had a special place in her competitive heart for the game of golf.  Her light was always green!

A special thanks to her SQUAD, her family, friends, and medical professionals for going to battle with Becky for 27 months of cancer treatments.

Services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Friendswood Methodist Church. The viewing and visitation start at 10am and the services will start at 11a.  Reception is to follow at Golfcrest Country Club.

  1. Deepest condolences to Becky’s family & friends. I went to high school with Becky and remember her as a vibrant, soulful, and gracious lady. She was very sweet & kind, never saw her without a smile on her face. I know she will be missed. Til we meet again in Heaven, RIP my friend! ❤️
