Jim Herman Bazilius

Jim Herman Bazilius, a long time resident of the Galveston Bay area, passed away on January 7, 2015.  He was born October 26, 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Emma (Peters) Bazilius.  He is survived by a son Richard (Rick) Webb – wife Rene’ , grandchildren Samantha, Joseph, and  Carolyn. A brother Joseph (Butch) Bazilius, three sisters Sandra Chinn, Eleanor (Dee Dee) Maynard, and Nancy Bazilius. Jim was preceded in death by  his parents Emma & Joseph Bazillius and sister Joyce Blevins. Jim  is also survived by many extended family members and a large adopted Texas family. Jim was a Vietnam War Veteran serving his country Honorably in the United States Navy where he retired. Jim went on to become a business owner , a U.S. Coast Guard Captain 100 Ton Master, and a Texas Border Volunteer.  A public visitation will begin at 9:30 am, Tuesday, January 13 at the Crowder Funeral Home in League City.  There will be a short service at 11:30am. The visitation will then continue until 1:00pm.  The family will meet for a graveside service at 3:00pm at the San Leon cemetery.

  6. I can’t believe you aren’t here! You always made me laugh no matter what. Thank you for your wisdom, sweetness and probably one of the nicest friends I’ve had.. Wink baby as you used to say to me. Now you can have all the fun you want on the other side and no living in a nursing facility. I love you and I’ll join you one day where we can laugh all day.
