Ella Lois Crawford Theriault

Ella Lois Crawford Theriault, of Kemah, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the age of 80.  The sixth child born of eight children on October 15,1940 in Hillister, Texas to William and Ethel Crawford.  Lois is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Theriault. She is survived by her sister Billie Ambrose, daughter Lori Theriault, son Brett Theriault and wife Sue, her grandchildren Destinee McKinney, and Stephen Theriault, and her great grandchildren Janelle(15) and Jocelyn(8) and many other loving family and friends.

Lois was an avid reader for many years; most Sundays she would spend the better part of her morning drinking black coffee, and reading the newspaper from corner to corner. If she was out of town, she would read the paper from that area. She was always up on the latest world news, a good one to have a conversation with.

Lois was a kind person, her heart grand!  Her great grandchild would light up her world. She had much love to offer, even to the smallest of beings. Many times presented with an injured critter, she would accept the challenge, and most often nurture that lucky duck, seagull, lizard, baby alligator, opossum, or kitten back to health. Friends would often say something about wanting to be reincarnated and return as her pet.

Lois retired in 1999 after a long career in banking and data processing, to include several years of travel, mostly around Texas, preparing banks and teaching it’s employees for big software conversions.
