Though I only got to know Tracey a short time. She was an amazingly dedicated person, who loved the space industry. She will be missed by all her colleagues in the space program.
Sincerely, Paul
Our NASA collaboration was ever too brief, but for that slice of sacred time, it was a pleasure to work with Tracey. I’ll always remember her and I meeting for the first time when we were invited with some colleagues to visit the NASA Orion spacecraft mockup here at NASA/Johnson Space Center and enjoyed the privileged experience. Tracey was a delight in personality, and sharp in technical acumen. She shall be missed. Warm sympathies to all who knew her, and may sweetest memories comfort all here on.
I remember our first introduction, when I came over to work for Collins, and it was pretty much straight and to the point. I introduced myself as “Bert Knight” and Tracey said “You name is Robert Knight and that’s what I will call you.” OK, glad we got that out of the way. At first I was kind of intimidated by her due to her boldness and “Matter of fact” attitude, but after a little while of getting to know her and her getting to know me, we started a friendship that I will truly miss. Tracey would always talk with me about whatever, life, job, food and of course Russell. She even showed an interest in my Golf stories, I now how boring they are, but she still listened and talked with me.
I will miss you talking with you Tracey and I will also miss that laugh you have. I am grateful that our paths crossed and I was able to call you my friend.
Love, Robert
