Sharon Lynn Wilkas passed peacefully on April 28, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the age of 78.

She was born on November 19, 1947, in Galveston, Texas to James and Rosa Hood.

Sharon Loved her Bible studies and was a prayer warrior for TBN for several years, making crafts, cooking, Ring-a-word puzzles, and her grandchildren.  Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her spirit will live on through our treasured memories.

She is preceded in death by husband Al Wilkas, Parents James and Rosa Hood Utterback, daughter Barbara Lynn Wilson, and brother Charles E. Hood.

She is survived by sisters Merle Garland and Jimmie Lorraine Harned, grandchildren Carl and Casey Wilson, Jon-Michael Jones, bonus granddaughter Dorothy Keenan, Nieces Sheila and Richard Reeves, Amy and Eugene Perez, and Debora Wilson.

A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2pm, at Virginia Beach Health and Rehabilitation – Dining Room, 1801 Camelot Dr., Virginia Beach, Virginia 23454.
