Robert “Bob” Preston Bonner

Robert “Bob” Preston Bonner, 89, of Louisiana and Texas peacefully passed on Tuesday August 15, 2017. Bob was born April 15, 1928 in Port Arthur, TX to Robert and Enola Bonner.  He went on to proudly serve his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II and the Korean Conflict.  Following his military career, Bob then worked as an operator for City Service Oil Company and eventually moved on to a successful career in insurance sales for Paul Revere Insurance Company. He often joked that after retirement the only decision he had to make was what kind of fish he was going to fish for on any given day.  In addition to relaxing on the lake, Bob also enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful things that his family will forever cherish.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Mrs Joy P. Bonner, daughter Becky Day and husband Bill, son Reggie Bonner and wife Barbara, sister Elrita Eikenhorst and husband Ralph, brother Milton Bonner and wife Ruby, seven grandchildren Kim Day, Carrie Day, Rob Bonner, Tricia Bonner, Elizabeth Barron and husband Al, Rebecca Waugh and husband Michael, Luke Bonner and wife Valerie, eight great grandchildren Brady Woodard, Emily Woodard, Presley Woodard, Robbie Bonner, Mallory Bonner, Katy Waugh, Abbey Waugh and Persie Waugh.
