Richard A. Winch

Richard A. Winch, age 73, passed away on April 8, 2020 in League City, Texas. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed. He was born in Cantwell, Missouri to James and Velma Winch. Richard was a graduate of the University of Missouri at Rolla, an Army veteran, and a Power Generation consultant.  He loved working outdoors whether gardening or running (two-time Boston Marathoner).  He is preceded in death by his father, James R. Winch; his mother, Velma L. Winch; his sister, Francis Pennington; and brother James Winch. He is survived by his children Michelle and Gene Hughes, Brian and Lacey Winch; his brother John Winch, his sister Cindy Paroski and husband Steven; and grandchildren, Nolan, Alyssa, Nathan, and Trey Hughes; and Madison, Taylor, Audrey, and Vivian Winch. The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Cottages of Clear Lake for their dedicated service.  Richard will be laid to rest in the Houston National Cemetery on April 14, 2020. In lieu of flowers the family asks to send donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

    • So sorry. Richard was a resident at The Cottages as was my mother, Jennie V Blair. He was always chipper. Prayers for all.
