In Loving Memory of Our Beloved “Abuilla”

September 1, 1929–November 22, 2024

Today, we gather with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to celebrate the extraordinary life of our dear Nieves Carballo, who blessed this world for 95 beautiful years. Known to all simply as “Abuilla,” she was more than just a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—she was the heart of our family, the keeper of our traditions, and the embodiment of unconditional love.

Abuilla’s life is a testament of strength, resilience, and kindness. Born in 1929, she witnessed nearly a century of change, adapting to every challenge with grace and courage. Her hands were never idle, whether cooking meals that fed both body and soul, sewing and knitting with unmatched skill, offering comforting embraces that could make the world feel right again, or simply her unwavering pursuit of winning the lottery!

Abuilla’s faith was unshakable, her prayers a source of strength for all who knew her. She taught us to love deeply, forgive freely, and to always make room at the table for one more. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled in us and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

Though our hearts ache with her passing, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her spirit will forever guide us, her love surrounding us like the softest of blankets.

Abuilla, we will miss your gentle smile, your wise words, and your endless love. Thank you for giving us the gift of yourself, for teaching us the true meaning of family, and for showing us what it means to live a life full of grace and purpose.

Rest peacefully, our beloved Abuilla. Your legacy lives on in all of us.

Te Queremos Mucho, Mucho, Mucho,

Your Family
