Mildred Frances Brownd

Mildred Frances Brownd, 98, passed away on June 16, 2019, in League City, Texas. She was born on June 3rd, 1921, in Newport, Arkansas, to Eugene Baily Baker and Bessie Alma Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph L Brownd and son Gary Brownd. Mildred is survived by her sister Gertrude Ferguson, sons Joseph (Gene) Brownd and James (Jim) Brownd, grandchildren Joseph Brownd Junior, Kellie Chauvin, Alecia Paschal, James (Jamey) Brownd, Jason Brownd, Renee Hackney, Jason Watson, and Paul Brownd, eighteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Mildred graduated from Draughon Business College and was a leader in the United Methodist Women’s group and the PTA, and she worked in the Cub Scouts. She was an active member of Oaklawn United Methodist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Mildred had a passion for serving and loved her family. A memorial will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019, at 2pm at Crowder Funeral home, located at 111 E Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598. Mildred’s remains will be transported to Heber Springs, Arkansas, for final burial at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens Cemetery with her husband and parents on Monday, July 15th, 2019.

  1. Dear family , I will be praying for your family. I remember Mildred very well. I really enjoyed working with her in the Oaklawn United Methodist Women.s organization here in Hot Springs, AR I really did miss her when she had to move. Love to all
