Michael Antonio Alcaraz

Michael Antonio Alcaraz, 29, a resident of Pearland, Texas passed away on June 19, 2021 in Pearland, Texas. He was born on March 16, 1992 in Pasadena, Texas.

Michael leaves behind his mother and father, Ha M. Nguyen and Jaime Alcaraz, and one sister, Michelle Rubio and husband, Jorge.

He primarily worked as a welder’s helper with his father for 10 years and was an experienced plumber’s apprentice.

He was a fun-loving young man and was always willing to help when help was needed.  He could solve a Rubik Cube in 2 minutes and 35 seconds!  He was into gaming, art, and music.  His favorite band was the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  He coached on his nephew’s T-ball team and taught him how to ride a bike.

As a child, he played baseball, soccer, karate, and football.  As a teenager, he enjoyed skateboarding, longboarding, and was a member of Boys Scout Troup 469 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Also, as a teenager/young adult, Michael played the drums.  He practiced with the worship band and chose to be rebaptized at the Abiding Life Baptist Fellowship. He graduated from Pearland High School in 2010.

He recently purchased his first home and was working on renovating it to move in July.

Michael’s family was really proud of him and he will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Crowder Funeral Home, Pearland, Texas with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the same location.
