  2. Pebbles and Michelle,
I’m sitting here at a complete loss and just feeling so heavy about your mom. I’ve known Yvonne my entire life, and I’ve known both of you just as long. She really was the quintessential mother—not just to you guys, but to every kid who ever needed a ride to school or a hand with anything. She was so outgoing and just didn’t let anyone fall through the cracks.
Some of my favorite memories are just talking to her on the phone and hearing her say, “If you’re swinging through Grand Avenue, come on by Bob Rowland.” I can still see us sitting on that little bench out front, just catching up for a few minutes.
She was a true Steel Magnolia—a diamond in the rough with a heart of gold. Her dedication to the Chamber and the whole community was something else. It really weighs on me that I can’t get away from my job to be there for the funeral, but please know I’m thinking of you both. She was like a mother to everyone she knew, and she’s going to be so missed.
Extending Hugs as big as Texas and her heart!
