Marcelina Perez Shaner, 84, passed away on December 16, 2025 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Cadiz City, Philippines on September 17, 1941. She is pre-deceased by her loving parents, Juan Perez and Avelina Rubi Perez, and her loving husband Philip G. Shaner. She is survived by her two sons, Richardson (Carol) and Thomas, nephew Daniel Shipley, her grandsons Christopher (Victoria) and Jason, and beloved great granddaughter, Julianna.

Marcelina is known to her friends and family as Helen. She lived with a strong faith in God and often helped those in need. She was independent, strong, a fierce friend, and loving wife and mother.

Marcelina will be laid to rest with her husband Philip at the Houston National Veterans Memorial on January 26, 2026 at a graveside ceremony.  Procession will begin at 12:45pm.
