Jeffery Raymond Storey

Jeffery Raymond Storey

January 25, 1956 –June 1, 2022

Jeffery Raymond Storey was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Ray and Marilyn Storey.  He resided in Warsaw, Indiana before moving to Texas at the age of 13.  Jeff started his career in the food service industry a mere two years later by first working for his parents in various businesses including the Pompano Club, S & S Food Distributors, Civic Center concessions and catering and opening Storey’s Ole Santa Fe.  He moved on to Sysco, working his way up to Business Development Manager for Sysco West Texas in Lubbock until his retirement.

After relocating to League City, Texas Jeff ran into a former high school classmate and finally found his soulmate in Renee Messina.  She was an absolute blessing to him and made him smile during his long courageous battle with the cancer that finally took his life.

Along with Renee, he is survived by his sister, Jody Morell and her husband Max, of Orange, Texas.  Daughter Lara Storey of Boerne, Texas.  Daughter Elizabeth Storey of Colorado.  Granddaughter Brylee Anabtawi of Lubbock, Texas.  Longtime friends Richard Harley, Mark Godley and Keith Moreau. A long list of nieces, nephews and cousins scattered around the country from Colorado to Indiana to Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Marilyn Storey.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held Sunday, June 26 at the Pompano Club from 6 to 9.  As Jeff would have preferred this to be casual and fun, there will be a cash bar, snacks and no dress code.

In lieu of flowers he requested that memorial donations be made in his honor to St. Jude’s Cancer Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
