Forrest Wayne Stewart, 87, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 28, 2026.

Born on June 6, 1938 in Austin, TX, Forrest was the son of the late Loran Elmer and Bethel Louise (Cluck) Stewart. He married his sweetheart, Karen (Penttila) Stewart in 1958. Together, they raised three children and enjoyed a life full of adventure and love. Forrest was a loving Grandpa and Great Grandpa, an avid cyclist, a gun hobbyist, and an active member of his community.

He is survived by his wife Karen; his children, Jeff Stewart of Columbus, OH, James Stewart (Delana) of Oneida, TN, and Joni Wiley (Doug) of Alvin, TX; his grandchildren, Claire, Joshua, Jacob, Jordan, Douglas, and Jade; his great grandchildren Jeshua Stewart and Elias Stewart.

A celebration of Forrest’s life was held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 3, at Houston Memorial Gardens, where he was laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to SPCA or the NRA. Forrest’s kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and all who knew him.
