Edward F. Strueby, 88, of La Marque passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was born July 18, 1929 to Emil and Anna Strueby in Stanberry, Missouri.

Edward was a longtime resident of La Marque since 1975, a member of Knights of Columbus and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church since 1975. He was very active building and doing construction work at the church and liked to garden.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son; Steven James Strueby, sister; Mary Ann Mc Gary, brothers; John Strueby, Sylvester Strueby and Thomas Strueby.

Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years; JoAnn Strueby, two daughters Theresa Johnson (David) and Geri Hosterman(Jack); two sons Timothy Strueby (Laurie) and Anthony Strueby; sisters Cecilia Schneider, Dorothy Kohlleppel, Theresa Wiederholt and Rita Biastock (Carl); his ten grandchildren: Erin Pepe, Zachary Strueby, Mitchell Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Jacob Strueby, Ethan Strueby, Joanna Strueby, Matthew Strueby Abigail Hosterman and John Hosterman and his one great grandchild Tanner Pepe.

A visitation will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1224 Cedar Dr., La Marque, TX on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm with a rosary at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service will be on Monday at 9:00 am at the church with Father Chacko Puthumayil, officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
