Dolores and I had many fun times in the 70s going out to music all around Central Texas. Even up until last month she always finished our visit by saying “just go straight to hell!” I’ll miss her attitude and sense of humor…
Dear Delores
We have been around your unforgettable personality for several years. I will not forget our Christmas Candle Lighting Service, when we added a crisp hair experience to the event. Loved being part of your family. You will be truly missed. We shall see each other once again in our Father’s House. Your promises are in my heart never to be forgotten.
Rest in Peace our friend.
Love Richard and Cassie Matherne
Dolores and Jimmie were our neighbors when we lived in Taylor. Right before we moved in, Dolores saw my husband and she came over to introduce herself. She said I have “one question for you”, are you an Aggie or Longhorn? He said “my wife and I are both Aggies”. She said well we can’t be neighbors because I’m a Longhorn. Jimmie said “Dolores you can’t tell him that he is the Asst Chief of Police”. My husband replied to her “well if you are a Longhorn how come is your car Maroon”? She said “I’m done with you, LOL”. We had some good laughs and times with Dolores and Jimmie. We were sad when we moved away to East Texas. They are great people and we loved them!!! Rest in Peace our dear friend. May God Bless Jimmie and your family and friends. Hey Dolores…………..Gig’em! Love you Dan and Tammy Ramsey
I only got to know Dee in the last 10 years or so. We shared our love of music and enjoyed the last Michael Hearnes Barn Dance with her and Jimmie a few years ago. She surely was an interesting woman. I loved hearing about the Longhorns, Harley, and her life in general. She had such great style in her appearance. She’ll be missed for sure. Please tell Jimmie we’re thinking of him and sorry for his and her family’s loss. Is Maybelline staying with Jimmie?
