David Michael Tholen, of Texas City, TX, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the age of 54.
David was born on June 7, 1963 in Houston, TX and attended La Marque High School and spent most of his younger days growing up in Bayou Vista, TX. He enjoyed boating, hunting and other leisure outdoor activities. David also held a pastime of tinkering with computers and always loved new gadgets and video games.
He worked for Flowers Motor Company from 1982 to 1995. He then attended College of the Mainland where he earned his Associates Degree and begin work as an Operator for Amoco. He retired from Marathon in 2014.
David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sheri Flowers Tholen, mother and step-father, Gloria and Jerry Pugh, daughter, Amber Norine and husband Jesse Norine, son, Travis Tholen and girlfriend Danielle Hildebrand, granddaughter, Teja Munoz. He will also be terribly missed by numerous family including his aunt and uncle, step brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Dutch and Katy Cudd, and mother and father-in-law, Wallace and Iris Flowers, whom he also deeply loved.
Memorial gathering will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, TX. Guests are welcome to share memories of David.
Friends and family are invited to attend a small gathering shortly thereafter at the Family’s Home.
