David Carson

David Carson of Pearland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the age of 91 in Houston, Texas.

David is survived by daughter, Candace Ankenbruck and husband Joseph, son, Kent
Carson and wife Barbara, four granddaughters:  Jenna Kervin and husband Jason, Tessa Drab and husband Jonathan, Carra Hawkins and husband Kiel, Kaittlin Carson and four great-grandchildren in order: great-grandson, Carson Hawkins, great-granddaughter, Lowen Kervin, great-grandson Jones Drab and recently born, great-grandson, Stephen Hawkins. He is also survived by one brother, Jack Carson also of Pearland, Texas.

David is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol of 69 years; parents, Harry and Kathryn Carson and a brother, Harry Carson.

David was born at home in Houston, Texas on October 5, 1928 in Park Place where some members of the family continued to reside for over 55 years. He attended Milby High School where he met his wife, Carol. They married at Park Place Methodist Church on July 29, 1949 and eventually bought a house off Reveille where the family lived for 12 years. In 1966, Dave and Carol moved their family to Pearland where their children continue to live. Dave worked for Southwestern Bell for 36 years. He retired just in time for three grandchildren to be born (twin girls in 1984 and another girl in 1985). He was devoted to helping take care of all of them, and they bonded to him forever. He was simply one of the kindest, most gentle souls there ever was.

David’s final wishes were for his family to be together and celebrate his life in simplicity, therefore no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to feed the hungry, Meals on Wheels, would be appreciated. They can be reached at (281) 485-5081, 2314 N Grand Blvd. Pearland, Texas.
