Cynthia Gale Hargrave
Cynthia Gale Hargrave, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022, amongst her family at her home. She was born on August 28, 1955, to Roy and Thelma Logan in Houston, TX and has resided in Galveston County for most of her life. Cynthia had a wonderful passion for volunteering. As a volunteer at Reliant Energy, she won Volunteer of the Month and also, with her son, Volunteer Family of the month. She also had a passion for Girl Scouts and led troops on many adventures during her time as their Troop Leader. In addition, she loved and collected Owls and Coke memorabilia. Cynthia also loved traveling, especially road trips. Some of her favorite activities were letterboxing, scrapbooking, and painting with watercolors. Cynthia is survived by her mother, Thelma Logan, sisters, Linda Bryan, Brenda Sharp, and Joy Pyle, son and daughter in law, Jason and Melissa Hargrave, and grandsons, Tyler and Joshua Hargrave. She is preceded in death by her father, Roy E. Logan, brother in law, Randy Pyle, and sister Donna Faye Logan. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Bryan, David Crowder, Brandon Bryan, Tyler Hargrave, Joshua Hargrave, and Cagie Bryan. Cynthia was a very devoted, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. She was blessed to have so many good friends throughout her life. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in League City (1645 EAST MAIN STREET LEAGUE CITY, TX 77573) with a graveside prayer immediate following at Forest Park East Cemetery. Funeral service and graveside prayer will be presided by Jim Barclift.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cynthia’s honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.

Many fond memories of playing with Cynthia, especially jr high band. She was always giggling. She valued Faith, family and girl scouts.
I have many fond memories of Cynthia. She was a co-worker, friend, and fellow volunteer during my years at HL&P/Houston Industries/Reliant Energy/Centerpoint Energy. We were fellow officers of TEA (The Employee Association) and shared many wonderful times at various activities. I especially enjoyed our trips to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX.

As leader of GS troop 01310, Cynthia was the most loving, giving, and devoted leader. She was my friend and mentor. Cynthia, Renee Moran and I had just as much fun as the girls. She will be in our hearts forever.
Rest In Peace Cindy. We were friends all through grade school into high school. Kinda funny how we were thrown back together when I bought Dads old house and was your Moms neighbor. So many great memories growing up. May the family find peace that you are with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I worked with Cynthia at HL&P in the Nuclear Fuel department in the 80s. She was aways cheerful and determined. I saw her many years later during a Hurricane evacuation and she was still her pleasant and calm self. Sending hugs to her family and friends as she will be greatly missed by them.

Cynthia, such a sweet lady. She was person how did all the behind the scene work at Major UG Engineering at CNP. She was missed the second she left. May the Lord’s peace be with your family.
Cynthia was a kind and giving person; always wanting to help. It was a blessing working with her at CenterPoint. Cynthia introduced letterboxing to me and my kids, something I will always cherish and remember. We would share are experiences after an adventure of searching. Prayers and thoughts for the family.
I loved all the time I go to spend with Cynthia while working with her at CenterPoint Energy. We shared the same birthday month and she always made sure I got a chocolate covered strawberry when we did birthday celebrations saying, “Because it’s my birthday month, we both get something extra special.” She was always kind and it’s very sad to hear that she is no longer here. I will be praying for her family as they learn to live with her memory in their hearts.
Cynthia or Ms. C as we called her at work was a very loving and kind lady. She made my years at CenterPointEnergy (MUG) enjoyable. You will be truly missed Ms. C. I am praying for her family as they mourn the loss of such a great person. My thoughts are with her son and niece that she always talked about!!
Mrs. C. taught me so much in our time together at Centerpoint Harrisburg. She was kind and funny and was the quiet force that kept us functional and happy. She was never nor will she ever be forgotten and will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her mom, Jason, Shelby, her sisters and her boys, Tyler and Josh. May God give you peace and strength always in the absence of your loved one. Rest well Mrs. C!
