Consuelo Quinones
Consuelo Quinones, 83 of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 in Austin. She was born February 11, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to Raymond and Marselina Sanchez.
Consuelo was a resident of Galveston County since 1977. She was a great cook and made the best tamales; what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and making flower arrangements for special occasions.
Consuelo is preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her three daughters; Irene Sonnen, Susie Canales and Virginia Tijerina (Arthur), son; Ricardo Canales Jr., (JoAnn), sister; Kimberly Sutuphin and brother; Andreas “Andy” Martinez (MaryAnn) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with the service at 6:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque with Deacon Steve Mistretta officiating.
Grandma sustained me with much love and and great food. I will always be incredibly grateful for her friendship and great heart.

I have so many beautiful memories of my Nana. She had the sweetest and most kindest soul. My memories of her are filled with love, laughs, music and good food. You are my amor eterno nana. I’ll be looking for you in the sky everyday until we can hug again.
