Constance Joan Barhan

Constance Joan Barhan, age 74, of San Leon TX, passed away on October 12th, 2022, at Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with cancer.

Connie was born on May 6th, 1948, to Frederick and Evelyn (Werner) Miller in Kendallville Indiana. After Connie graduated from Kendallville High School in 1966, she attended and graduated from the International Business College in Fort Wayne, IN.

On August 27, 1968, she married David Keith Barhan in Kendallville, IN. The couple traveled the country and settled in Texas where she went on to have a career of over 40 years as an accountant and comptroller in the automotive industry.

Connie was a devoted member to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church where she enjoyed her time with her small group family and as a handler for Joy the Comfort Dog. She was also part of various support groups throughout the years.

Connie was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Evelyn Miller. She is survived by her husband David Barhan, her sons Nicholas Barhan and Eric (Rebeccah) Barhan, Grandson Braden Barhan and sisters Linda Huff, Carol (Sam) Campbell and Patsy (Michael) Bodenhafer.

Services will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church on October 27th, 2022, at 2 p.m. Which will be livestreamed at https://gdlc.online.church/

Visitation will be held prior to the service at 1 p.m. and a small reception will follow her service.

  1. What a special lady. We worked together for 20 plus years, starting back in the early 1980’s.

    You could always count on Connie to be herself—loyal, dependable, helpful, kind and willing to help. Positive Attitude with a smile for everyone.

    She was a friend to all who knew her.

    I am thankful she was in my life all these years.
