Chuck was a wonderful Christian man. I had the privilege of sing in his choir at First Baptist Church Dickinson. He always encouraged me. He and Wandz hold a special place in my heart. He and my son, Jason shared Blue Bell ice cream on numerous occasions at the Skinner farm near Nacogdoches. ❤️
I am very sad to hear that Brother Chuck Skinner passed away. He was a great christian whom I admired greatly. I enjoyed being in his choir at Pine Drive Baptist church for many years. Brother Skinner made choir fun and very worshipful. He always encouraged me to sing solos and let me know how much he appreciated me using my gift to serve God. Chuck and Wanda were everyone’s mom and pop. A great light has left us and it will bless Heaven. I also want to say that Chuck and Wanda were always the real deal. They walked the walk and talked the talk. They gave their lives to the Lord and touched so many. You cannot mention one without the other, because they were a team and had a oneness in Christ.
Such an incredible godly man ! Such a tremendous example of a Servant heart Christain, Faithful loving husband, & Father to his 3 sons. Chuck was always willing to do whatever he could to help others. His dedication to the Music Ministry @ Pine Drive Baptist where i had the honor of serving with him as Youth Minister from 1984~1994. Chuck always had time to be a listening ear, giving words of wisdom, even loving correction [as needed], & a tremendous mentor to a young man in the ministry [me]. There’s a void here on earth that cannot be filled, but a New Voice in Heaven’s choir & he can hear every not with perfection. So Chuck, until we have that Eternal reunion day~ as i know 14th May you heard ” Well done thy Good & Faithful Servant. Thank you so richly blessing MY LIFE ! only because of CHRIST i am ~ Bro. rich counts
For all who were blessed to know Chuck Skinner knew the heart of a Christian man. His love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was evident in all he said and did. His love and devotion to his beautiful wife Wanda and his family set an example for all of us to follow. During all the years we attended Pine Drive Baptist Church Chuck led the Music Ministry which was such a special part of Sunday morning worship. I always enjoyed hearing Chuck sing but there was one song that will forever stand out in my mind. The song was “ The Statue of Liberty “ The final verses say “ Oh the cross is my Statue of Liberty, It was there that my soul was set free, Unashamed I’ll proclaim that a rugged cross Is my Statue of Liberty!” God Bless Chuck Skinner and may God bring Comfort and Peace to Wanda and all of Chuck’s family 🙏
