Charles Arthur Bascue

Charles Arthur Bascue, 88 a resident Houston, TX passed away on August 20, 2020 in Houston. Charles was born in Martinsburg, WV on June 23, 1932. He was of Catholic Faith.

Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.  He also attended Seminary School.

Charles was a professional clarinet player, he played with Patsy Cline, Glenn Miller and Guy Lombardo.

Charles was Sr. Vice President of Century 21 of Texas and Louisiana Region.  He was President of Homeowners Marketing Services working with brokers and agents throughout Texas and surrounding states.  Later in life, Charles started a new career, teaching real estate courses throughout Texas.

Charles reunites with his son, Timmy Bascue, parents Arthur and Estelle Bascue and sister, Carolyn Marie Bascue Harris.

He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Jo Ann Bascue, daughters: Joy Reese, husband Todd Dannelly and Terri Bascue Bell, grandchildren: Wade Bowen “Beau” Reese II, Amber Cook and Jonelle Cook, nieces and nephews: Jean Marie Shanholtzer, Lisa Gayle Whitt, William E. Shanholtzer Jr., Jenifer Lee Harris, and James Arthur Harris.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, TX.

  3. Daddy, I am so sorry I couldn’t say goodbye. I just found out this week that you passed away. When I hadn’t heard from you since June I ask Amber to check obituaries and that is how we found out.
